Chase Bank App Now Available For Windows Phone

Windows Phone is still a long ways from catching up to Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android marketplaces, but in terms of quality, Microsoft’s online app store is nearing parity with the other two. Today the official JP Morgan Chase app has arrived on the Windows Phone Store. As most of you know, the ability to check your bank account, transfer money and pay for things all through the handy app was reserved for other smartphone users. However, with the new Chase app landing today, Microsoft can check off another “must have app” off their wish list.

The Chase app allows those enrolled with the bank to check their expenses and dictate which amounts of money go into what accounts. Aside from the money management aspects of the app, it also lets you find nearby branches or ATM machines near your current location.

It’s neatest trick, though, is the ability to deposit checks through the app itself. No need to drive, i.e. waste gas, to a location and deposit the check through the drive through teller or ATM machine. Just like on other platforms, the app asks for front and rear pictures of the check and a deposit amount, and presto, money in your pocket.

The app has a neat appearance and clean interface and utilizes the “modern” facelift pretty well. With this latest app, the AAA apps are starting to populate the Microsoft Store, although users are still waiting for the arrival of Pinterest and Instagram for Windows Phone. Either way, the new Chase app is a small step in the right direction and gives more usability to customers sitting on the fence about Microsoft’s OS.
