New Windows Phone 8 Devices Revealed in Samsung vs Apple Court Drama
I guess something good has come out of the legal shenanigans between Samsung and Apple; at least for those of us interested in new Windows Phone device leaks. The legal battle between the two tech giants has unearthed, surprisingly, new device news for Windows Phone 8. According to The Verge, they uncovered some court documents submitted by Samsung regarding the future of two new handsets destined to run on Windows Phone 8. The devices, named Odyssey and Marco, will be out in Q4 of 2012. Spec-wise, the beefy Odyssey will house a 4.63 inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution, 8MP rear camera and be NFC enabled. The more modest Marco, probably a mid-range device, will have a 4-inch screen (WVGA resolution) and 5MP rear camera and have NFC as well.
Both devices will be running on a dual-core a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 chip.
How these devices will look is up in the air, but if Samsung actually decides to be original they will look nothing like we’ve seen before from their Android offerings…oh and be made with something other than light-weight plastic. Still, Super AMOLED HD resolutions will make things bright and clear.
