The Zunited Podcast

The Zunited Podcast was debuted on February 22nd of 2008 as one of the only Zune-centered podcasts to incorporate “Zune news and information around the Zune community.” Since then, it has gone on to become the number one Zune podcast, topping the charts for most subscribed podcast in the Zune Marketplace. Even beating the Oprah podcast–a personally momentous defeat. In its short two years the Zunited Podcast has been through a cycle of six different hosts (two of which are still on); a variety of guest hosts including staff writers and administrators from other Zune fan-sites, like ZuneSpring and ZuneBoards; prestigious tech journalists have been interviewed like Mary Jo Foley from ZDNet’s All About Microsoft column; and it’s even had the pleasure of having actual Zune insiders come on air including Cesar Menendez and Jessica Zahn. Today, the podcast remains a blend of hard-hitting news from various realms of Microsoft’s entertainment services (all of which include Zune), topical discussion and heated debate, and a voice from the community through email. It is currently hosted by Michael Collado, Anna Yap, Jon Young, and “Sakai.”
