Zunited Spotlight: Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream”
- Last Friday Night – This song is a bit upbeat a la “I Kissed a Girl” It reminds me very much of Kesha’s “Party at a Rich Dude’s House” describing what Katy Perry and her while group of friends did Last Friday Night. I see this being a hit for her. It’s beat is memorable.
- Peacock – Of course what is a Katy Perry Album without an edgy cult classic. In “Peacock” Katy is begging a guy to show his “Peacock” and spares no detail in exactly what she wants to see. Judging by her description I want to see that Peacock too! The beat is a playful teenage beat.
- Circle the Drain – Taking a more serious note. Katy sings about how she’s not gonna stick around with a man who is Circling the Drain with his additictions. The song has more of a rock feel to it which I love.
- E.T. – This is my favorite song in the album at the moment. It is very much rock like and VERY addicting. Begging “Kiss me, take me” and that he’s so incredible he must be Extra-Terrestrial. The chorus is SO addicing you MUST hear it.
